We'll see you all nice and early in the morning!

Going to Cardiff tomorrow?

Going for the day out to the Welsh Capital tomorrow? Great! There is so much to see so here are a few ideas to plan your trip! The Castle, set in the city centre offers several tours at discounted prices for students - so make sure you take your student cards! Prices start from £9 and this includes a tour!

The Millenium Stadium, on Westgate Street, is one of the country's leading sport and event venues! Tours are available and start from the WRU Shop, Gate 3 of the Millennium Stadium. The venue hosted FA Cup Finals and major artists of music including Madonna, the Rolling Stones, Robbie Williams and U2 even performed there! So surely it's worth a look!

The Museum is a cultural gem which offers something for everyone. A recent exhibition includes the Wildlife photographer of the year. The art collection includes work from all over the world and over a 500 year time frame!
Cardiff Bay also has a great selection of places to eat! This is a fantastic place for lunch or maybe try the very famous and very lovely 'Welsh Cake' - with a good cup of tea it's the perfect afternoon snack!

On Tuesdays we Dance!

So tomorrow is another Tuesday, which means time for dancing! As usual I will be there, and if anyone wants to join me, please come along! The club is called Timepiece, it's in the town centre, and I will be there from 10.30pm. It usually gets busy between 11pm and midnight, and closes between 1am and 1.30am, depending on the crowd! So if you feel like dancing to some international music and drinking Sangria (or any other drink) come along!!

Timepiece also hosts other nights during the week, here is a link to their website:

Live Jazz

During the amazing songs and stories last night I was asked where can we hear live jazz music???

The old firehouse is one of the best places for live music in Exeter. The pub is on new north road just around the corner from the pharmacists Boots. There is a map below showing its location. There is live music on every Saturday, Sunday and Friday as well as other random nights advertised in the bar. Even if there is no live music the pub is brilliant with a really great atmosphere. (They also serve the most amazing pizza!!!!)

Another great Place for live music is mama stones its a little harder to find, and is more expensive. But they have live music nearly every night check. You can check out the gig guide to find out who is playing. Below is a street view map showing how to find mama stones!

Sometimes it gets really busy so you need to go early to get good seats!

The Exeter University Online Noticeboard!

A few of you have been asking me recently about buying second-hand items, and one of the best places I have recommended is the University noticeboard. It is an online resource for students to buy and sell anything, from books to furniture, train tickets and even accommodation! If you have anything to sell it is very straightforward to create your own post, I have done it many times myself and it is very safe and easy!

Here is the link, which will also be available from our 'useful links' list: http://its.exeter.ac.uk/noticeboard/

Introducing your Summer Support Team!

So here we are! As you can see, we're very ready for the summer to start! From the left: Ciaran, Hettie and Jon. If you see us around the INTO Centre, please come and say Hi, we will be the people wearing the red T-shirts. Also, we'll be at every social event planned for the summer, so hopefully we will get to know many of you quite well! Like we mentioned before, keep an eye on the notice boards (two in the INTO centre, one in Duryard and one in Thornlea) for all social activities. Wednesday afternoons will include a local visit somewhere in or around Exeter, Saturdays are the bigger day trips outside Exeter, and Sundays are for sport! So there'll be plenty for everyone to enjoy, and if there isn't, just tell us any suggestions you may have!
